SCENARIO 11
Grouping of shipments from different sources
The Royal Air Force requests two different LRC’s to complete the parts availability of the work order for a planned maintenance job to be performed at air base Marham in the United Kingdom. They request to have the parts delivered in one shipment. The first required part is scarce and will become available at a repair vendor located near Ankara in Turkey. The second required part is located in a regional warehouse at air base Amendola in Italy. The SSC-CC evaluates the different options for transport and chooses the most cost efficient solution whilst still meeting the requirement dates for the parts.
